ISSUE 3 / DISPLACED

Submissions Due: March 31, 2019

The conversation WAiF is building about movement and change has so far been about choice; a conscious, empowered process of leaving home. But not all situations offer a choice. What happens to our personal sense of identity when we are forced, rather than choose, to move? How does it affect our ability to relate or connect with those around us?

WAiF is seeking true stories of people forced to move for its 3rd issue DISPLACED. Stories where situations involving eviction, violence, fire, or flood (to name only a few) forced a move you would not have made for yourself.

Tell us about it.

Please review the Submission Guidelines before submitting. We also recommend reading previous issues to become acquainted with the style of material we publish. Send submissions as Word or Google Doc attachments to editors @ thewaifproject.org.
